Bold Technologies, a subsidiary of Bold Holdings based in Abu Dhabi, has recently joined forces with the international artificial intelligence company My Aion to introduce a groundbreaking $2.5 billion smart-city project. The initiative is designed to revolutionize urban infrastructure through the power of AI technology.
The collaboration between Bold Technologies and My Aion has resulted in the creation of a cutting-edge platform named Aion Sentia Cognitive City. This platform is set to oversee and optimize intricate urban systems, covering a wide range of sectors including mobility, energy, education, healthcare, and digital services. At the heart of this platform lies Maia, an advanced AI core engine developed by My Aion.
Daniele Marinelli, the CEO of My Aion, highlighted the platform's capabilities by mentioning that the AI will be able to understand users so well that it can even recommend and book a perfect anniversary dinner without any manual intervention.
This ambitious project is scheduled to debut in Abu Dhabi before expanding its reach globally. The launch is expected to take place within the next 18 months. The initiative is structured under a $2.5 billion Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, which is a public-private partnership model commonly used for large-scale infrastructure and technology projects. Under this model, private sector entities are responsible for constructing and managing the infrastructure for a specified period, after which ownership is transferred to the government or a public sector entity.
Thani Al Thani Al Falasi, the CEO of Bold Technologies, emphasized that this initiative will not only support the creation of jobs for UAE nationals but also foster local innovation and contribute significantly to the national AI ecosystem.
Marinelli of My Aion expressed excitement about the company's relocation to Abu Dhabi, stating that the UAE offers the necessary infrastructure and institutional support to strategically scale their operations.
In a related development, Catena Labs, a project spearheaded by Circle co-founder Sean Neville, announced plans to establish an AI-native financial institution. The project emphasized the synergy between AI and stablecoins, suggesting that AI systems can significantly benefit from digital assets. Additionally, industry figures like Changpeng Zhao, the co-founder and former CEO of Binance, have emphasized the potential of cryptocurrencies in enhancing AI capabilities.
As the integration of AI and digital assets gains momentum, the synergy between these cutting-edge technologies is expected to unlock new possibilities and drive innovation across various sectors. The intersection of AI and cryptocurrencies is poised to reshape industries and pave the way for novel solutions and advancements in the digital landscape
