A new form of malware has been discovered that poses a significant threat to cryptocurrency users. This malicious software, once installed on a device, deploys a program known as ClipBanker, which is designed to manipulate the clipboard functionality on the device. The primary objective of ClipBanker is to replace cryptocurrency wallet addresses stored in the clipboard with addresses controlled by the attacker.

This type of attack is particularly dangerous for individuals who frequently engage in cryptocurrency transactions. When a user copies a cryptocurrency wallet address to the clipboard in order to send or receive funds, the malware intercepts this action and replaces the copied address with one belonging to the attacker. As a result, the unsuspecting user ends up sending funds to the attacker's wallet instead of the intended recipient.
